It is not only online casino gaming that could be set to really grow in 2020. Video games are a popular part of youth culture in India and we could see cloud-based subscription play shoot up here as well. Indian gamers always like to be on the cutting edge of tech advancements and have been eager to have online video game services to subscribe to for a while now.

This would see people pay a monthly fee to use a service that is the equivalent of Netflix for online video games. Once paid up, Indian players get access to a huge range of titles from a selection of top publishers.

Desi games could take off in a big way

Audiences around the world have begun to prefer localised online gaming content in recent years, with India being no exception to this. It is not hard to see why – being in familiar surroundings with language and cultural references you understand can make for a much more enjoyable experience.

2020 could well see more game studios and online sites pitch specific Indian content to the Indian market. Trends in this niche could prompt more online games to be produced just for the Indian market, based on movies or TV shows that are popular here.
